(cont. from pg. 1)
She comments that perhaps 50 to 60 percent of the population has trouble
staying focused! Therefore, many organizing tools have been devised to help people focus.
Here is one of Susie's favorite tips:
Look around your home or office. Make a list of the things that NEED to
be done, and those that you WANT to get done. Then num |

ber the projects
in order of priority, with the most important tasks first. Obviously, the items on your
NEEDS list will have higher priority than those on your
WANTS list..
Then break down the most important projects into smaller tasks that can
each be finished or almost finished in 5 minutes. Choose one of these tasks, set a timer
for 5 minutes, |

and begin. When the timer goes
off, finish the last bit of that task or stop completely and take a
break.
If you feel good and would like to continue, go for it! Set the timer for another five
minutes. See if you can at least accomplish one or two tasks in these
two five-minute periods. Susie points out that usually, the majority of those who |

try this tip actually are able to complete more work in
ten minutes than they expected. Susie says, "When the two five-minute periods are up,
sit
back, relax for a minute or two and congratulate yourself on what you
have accomplished!"
If you did this every day for a week, just think about how much you could
and would tackle!!! |
